Sort & Say — English vocabulary for Zomi speakers

Effective date: 2026-10-24
Nothing you do in Sort & Say leaves your phone. We collect nothing. We track nothing.

What Sort & Say does

Sort & Say teaches everyday English words to Zomi-speaking adults. You see pictures, hear words in Zomi and English, and sort cards onto shelves. All word content and pictures are bundled inside the app when you download it.

Data we collect

None. Sort & Say does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There is no account, no login, and no profile.

Your learning progress (which words you have learned, your text size and speed preferences) is saved only on your device using iOS standard storage. It never leaves your phone.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app has an optional "Say it" feature that listens for the English word you are practising. This uses Apple's on-device speech recognition (SFSpeechRecognizer with requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true). What you say is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server — not to Apple, and not to us.

Purchases

The "All Shelves" unlock is processed by Apple's App Store (StoreKit 2). We never see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Third-party services

Sort & Say uses no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. The only network activity is the App Store purchase and restore flow handled entirely by iOS.

Children

Sort & Say is designed for adults. It is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, there is nothing to protect under COPPA or similar laws, but we do not market the app to children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add a feature that changes what data is collected, we will update this page and the effective date, and note the change in the App Store release notes.
